"I enjoy working with people who share their dedication and expertise"

I joined Heathcote & Coleman as a general practice partner in 1970. I had always been involved in Insolvency and Corporate Recovery and in the late 1980s began to develop that side of the firm, until about ten years ago when I was able to specialise in it almost exclusively.

Being an Insolvency Practitioner covers a huge and complex area including voluntary arrangements, liquidations, administrations, bankruptcy advice and viability reviews. I love the variety of the work - you never get the same problem twice. Above all I enjoy working as part of a small but focussed team, who share their dedication and expertise.

In 2007 I retired as a partner and now I act as a consultant for the firm.

"I love the involvement with where clients are going"

I joined Heathcote & Coleman in 1982 and became a partner in 1987. Over 25 years I have been able to build up a depth of knowledge and rapport with individual clients. What I like is the influence and involvement with where clients are going. What they like is the continuity of the personal relationship.

I am a general practitioner experienced in dealing with a wide range of owner managed businesses. In addition to providing audit and assurance services to SMEs, I also specialise in audit and assurance for regulated bodies such as pension funds, charities and other not for profit organisations. I love the variety that this kind of work brings.

"What I really enjoy is making things happen for my client's business"

I have been a partner in the firm for over 25 years, a fourth generation Chartered Accountant and direct descendant of the founder of the partnership.

As a general practitioner I act for a wide portfolio of clients, principally owner managed businesses, who require audit, assurance and business advisory services. What I really enjoy is making things happen for my client's business, whether this is increased profitability or helping with strategic planning. I am on the board of a number of midlands companies, both in an executive and non-executive capacity, so I am ideally placed to advise on wider business issues.

"We have always prided ourselves on the personal touch"

I joined Heathcote & Coleman from school in 1960, qualifying in 1965 and becoming a partner in 1968 and senior partner in 1994. As well as being involved in audit and accounting matters I advise on broad business issues affecting owner managed companies.

I particularly enjoy the work that I do as Trustee or Treasurer of a number of charities and other governing bodies; I also thrive on the intellectual challenge of inheritance tax and probate, which is a rapidly changing branch of taxation.
