Nick Simkins, happy
to be back |
|
Nick Simkins has been appointed as a Partner to the firm. Nick is no stranger as he trained as a Chartered Accountant at the firm and qualified back in 1992. His recent appointment will see the leading independent accountancy firm move and develop into the niche public sector market for the first time in its 125-year history.
Formerly Head of Department at KPMG, Nick joins the team with over 15 years experience gained in working with clients across the public sector. In the education sector, Nick has worked with further and higher education institutions, Learning & Skills Councils and the Higher Education Funding Council for England. He has also worked with clients in the heath and local government sectors.
He has a wide knowledge of external and internal audits, financial advisory work and risk management. |
Nick commented:
“I am relishing the opportunity of coming back as partner to Heathcote & Coleman and I hope to help lead the future development of the firm by serving existing and new clients. I look forward to working once again with a firm that has a great history but more importantly one with a confident and exciting future. There is a real opportunity for an independent firm like Heathcote & Coleman to build a reputation in providing quality and cost effective services to the public sector.”
Victor Lyttle, Senior Partner, said: “I have great pleasure in welcoming Nick to the firm. It is very special to have a former employee who has gained experience in working with clients in the public sector to come back and join the team as Partner.”
