For most managers, an MBO represents a one off opportunity to move from a purely employee position to participation in the ownership of the business.
An MBO will almost certainly involve dealing with situations, processes and professionals, which you have never encountered before. The process is complex and is usually time consuming. It will involve managers in making decisions, which may put some, or all of their personal wealth at risk. |

For a variety of reasons, acquisitions can be a very attractive way to develop and grow a business. However, there are major risks.
